MEMOREX TO BUNDLE MIGO SOFTWARE WITH USB FLASH DRIVES AND FLASH MEDIA CARDS
REDWOOD CITY, CA, May 15, 2007-- Migo Software, Inc. (OTCBB:MIGO), a leading provider of award-winning PC mobility, synchronization and utility software products, today announced it has signed a software licensing and marketing agreement with Memorex Products, Inc., the US market-share leader in optical media and media accessories at retail. An influential brand in CD/DVD media, optical drives and USB flash drives, Memorex® is a portfolio brand of Imation Corp. (NYSE:IMN). Under the agreement, Migo Software grants to Memorex a worldwide, nonexclusive license to use, distribute and market Migo® Portable Vault software with the newly redesigned Memorex TravelDrive™ USB flash drive, and Migo® Recover Lost Data software with select Secure Digital (SD) flash media cards distributed under the Memorex TravelCard™ brand name.
“Migo Software is excited to pair our award-winning applications with the latest flash memory products from Memorex, one of the most widely recognized and respected names in the consumer electronics industry,” said Rob Halligan, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Migo Software. “We look forward to adding value to Memorex products through our software and to leveraging Memorex’s broad retail penetration to widen Migo’s customer base for our mobile security software.”
To help protect end users against data theft, Memorex selected Migo Portable Vault USB security software to deliver password protection and 256-bit encryption to its 2007 model TravelDrive flash drive.
Migo Software will also offer its Recover Lost Photos data recovery software as an added value bundle with select Memorex TravelCard brand SD cards. Communications on the Memorex TravelCard SD packaging will direct customers through the software download process via a co-branded website.
“By bundling Migo’s data security and recovery applications with Memorex flash products, we’ve found yet another great way to differentiate our lines from the competition,” said Carla Pihowich, director of marketing, Imation Consumer Division. “We know that data theft and accidental loss are two top concerns on consumers’ minds, and Migo has provided us a way to help end users guard against these concerns when they use our flash products.”
Memorex flash memory products are available at most major consumer electronics retailers and office superstores.
